Fact:  It was originally sold as a cure for indigestion.

#2.)  The use of OMG as an abbreviation for "Oh my God" dates back to 1917.
Fact:  The Oxford English Dictionary found it used in a letter from an admiral in a letter in 1917.

#3.)  In order for a wave to be considered a tsunami, it needs to be caused by an earthquake.
Bullcrap:  It can be caused by volcanoes, landslides, an asteroid crashing into earth, or even changes in air pressure.

#4.)  Tsunamis are usually traveling more than 100 miles an hour when they hit land.
Bullcrap:  They can reach 600 mph in the middle of the ocean, but they slow down as they near land.  The average speed of a tsunami hitting land is about 22 mph. 

#5.)  Half of all endangered and threatened species are on the list because of an invasive species damaging their habitat or taking their food.
Fact:  Invasive species are listed as one of the factors for 49% of all species on the endangered/threatened list.

#6.)  During Shakespeare's time, the word "nothing" was used as a slang term for a woman's genitals.
Fact:  Because they were shaped like a 0.  Women's genitals were also sometimes referred to as (--Careful!) "country matters".

#7.)  During Shakespeare's time, the word "merry" was a slang term for homosexual.
Bullcrap:  It was slang for a man who was noticeably aroused. 

#8.)  The word vodka means "clear wine".
Bullcrap:  It means "little water".

#9.)  There is not enough room in the sky to include enough moons to match the brightness of the sun.
Fact:  It would take 400,000 moons to match the sun's brightness, and you could only fit a little more than 200,000 in the visible sky.

#10.)  The half moon formed when the moon is increasing in size toward a full moon is brighter than the half moon formed when it's decreasing after a full moon.
Bullcrap:  The second half moon is brighter, because the side shown then has fewer dark areas than the early-month half moon.
