Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain will speak at Gulf Greyhound Park next Tuesday as he joins the Clear Lake Tea Party for a rally.
The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and will also include other 'grassroots' candidates who are running for office:
Lela Pittinger, running for U.S. Senate,
Robert Gonzalez, running for Congressional District 14 (Ron Paul's seat),
Heidi Thiess, running for Texas House District 24,
Mary Huls, running for Texas House District 129 (John Davis' seat) and
Rachel Delgado, running for Texas House District 23.
Also on the list of speakers is Apostle Claver T. Kamau-Imani, chairman of RagingElephants.org; a Houston political group dedicated to convincing more minorities to become conservative voters. Kamau-Imani will speak on the need to support grassroots candidates.
Galveston County Tax Assessor Cheryl Johnson will serve as master of ceremonies.
Cain will autograph copies of his newly-released book from 7-8 p.m.
