Liberal media blames abysmal TV inaugurati
on ratings on previous administra tion
President Obama's inauguration TV ratings dropped by almost 50% from 2009.
Slightly
more than 20 million Americans tuned in to watch President Barack Obama
inaugurated for his second term - a little more than half the audience
that watched in 2009.
These figures mirrored the sizes of the crowds that came to Washington to watch the ceremony in person.
The
rating service Nielsen said Wednesday that the average audience
watching from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. was 20.6 million this year, compared
to 37.8 million in 2009.
Nielsen said 18 networks covered the inaugural ceremonies for most of that time, though the specific hours varied by network.
The first black president inauguration
only happens once. This is a rerun. And could it also be that when I
watch a televised political event that could have wide ranging effects
on my life, I don't want to hear the commentators talking about the First Lady's dress and haircut?
