Lil Poopy's dad has a history of coke & heroine charges

The father of 9-year-old gangster rapper Lil Poopy - now under state investigation for possible child neglect after the 9-year-old Brockton hip-hop sensation appeared in raunchy rap videos - has had several run-ins with the law, according to his lawyer and court records.

Police said they found Luis M. Rivera holed up in a bathroom with his two kids, including his then 7-year-old son, when police busted into a Brockton apartment in November 2010 and found heroin and cocaine.

Officers said they suspected that Rivera had flushed drugs down the toilet, but he later had charges of possession with the intent to distribute Class A and B drugs and conspiring to violate the drug law dropped after a judge allowed a motion to suppress evidence, according to court records.

Rivera's lawyer, Joseph Krowski Jr., confirmed that Poopy's dad has had a handful of criminal cases, including the drug bust, but said the abuse and neglect allegations are based solely on the pint-sized rapper's controversial videos, not his dad’s rap sheet.
