After the video had transversed the networks of the world wide web, oh the hollerin' began!

Th intital video posting on Breitbart riled some folks up, and then the full video was released...and that's when the trouble started.

Shirley Sherrod made this speech 24 years ago.  The purpose of sharing this experience was to show how she realized it wasn't about color, it was about helping people.  She was in effect, sharing the enlightening moment when she realized she wasn't a racist.

I'm going to have to call a big ol' B.S. on that explaination.  Seriously...watch the video.  Her venacular is clear with the "they's" and "his own kind" remarks; the woman looks at society as having dividers.  To her; people are inherently segregated.

It's fine that she actually did help these farmers.  It's fine that she believes that she's a better person for realizing she was being discrimminatory.  But that doesn't mean she doesn't still carry the bias and the segregated mental image of her reality.
