An early-morning intrusion in the nude at the wrong house resulted in the Tasering and arrest of an Oregon State University football player and his subsequent dismissal from the team. Tyler Patrick Thomas, 19, of Kalispell, Mont., is an offensive lineman who redshirted the 2009 season for the Beavers.

Thomas was arrested Sunday on charges of first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

According to information from the Corvallis Police Department, at 4:51 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of Northwest 14th Street after a 32-year-old woman reported that there was a naked man in the upstairs office of her residence.

When officers arrived, they ordered the man to get on the floor several times, but he refused.

Then Thomas, who police said had been drinking, assumed a "three-point stance" and lunged at the officers, who Tased him.

Thomas was booked into Benton County Jail but was released later the same day.

It wasn't Thomas' first run-in with Corvallis police this year.

In April, Thomas was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol after he used a fake ID to get into a Corvallis bar.

OSU head coach Mike Riley called Thomas a smart person, but said what he did this time was inexcusable and warranted him being kicked off the team.

"This is not his first go-around with this, and it's partly a result of that (first incident)," Riley said. "The move was not a one-time thing. It was a number of reasons. This was icing on the cake."
